Website & Booking Terms
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the general conditions that apply when using the Barker's Aesthetics website, making an enquiry, booking an appointment or arranging a service.
1. Who We Are
Barker's Aesthetics is a trading name of TATTOO BYE BYE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16613581. Company information, including the registered office, is available from Companies House.
Please use our Contact / Enquire page as the main way to contact us.
2. About These Terms
These terms apply to website use, enquiries, consultations, appointments, home visits and services supplied by Barker's Aesthetics. Any treatment-specific consent form, prescriber requirement, aftercare instruction or written agreement supplied to you also forms part of the arrangement.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
3. Age, Consultation & Suitability
Our services are for people aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be requested.
Services are consultation-led. A booking or enquiry does not guarantee that a treatment will be suitable or provided. We may decline, postpone or adapt a service where this is reasonably necessary for safety, suitability, professional standards or legal requirements.
You must provide accurate, complete and current information about relevant health conditions, medicines, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, previous procedures and anything else that may affect suitability.
4. Prescriber Assessments
Some services require an assessment by an appropriately qualified independent prescriber before treatment can be considered. A prescriber makes their own clinical decision and may decide that a prescription or treatment is not appropriate.
A prescriber assessment fee, pharmacy charge or cost of specially ordered goods may be separate from the treatment price. We will explain known charges before you agree to proceed.
5. Bookings & the £35 Deposit
A booking is only confirmed when we have accepted it and any required £35 deposit has been received. Unless we tell you otherwise, the deposit is applied towards the price of the booked service.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please check the date, time, location and service details when confirmation is provided.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Appointments
More than seven clear days' notice
If you cancel more than seven clear days before the appointment, you may choose either:
- a refund of the £35 deposit; or
- to transfer the £35 deposit to another appointment.
Seven days' notice or less
If you cancel or request a change with seven days' notice or less, we may retain all or part of the deposit only to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from the cancellation, such as reserved appointment time, administration and any non-recoverable third-party charges. If our actual loss is lower, the appropriate balance will be refunded. A transfer may be offered at our discretion.
Missed appointments
If you do not attend and have not cancelled, we may retain the deposit up to the amount of our reasonable loss. A new deposit may be required before another appointment is reserved.
If we cancel
If Barker's Aesthetics cancels and cannot offer a suitable alternative, payments for the affected service will be refunded. We are not responsible for unrelated travel, accommodation, childcare or loss-of-earnings costs unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Distance Bookings & Cooling-Off Rights
Where consumer cancellation rights apply to a booking made online, by telephone or away from our business premises, you may have a legal 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to begin providing a service during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work completed before cancellation. The cancellation right may end once a service has been fully performed with the required agreement and acknowledgement.
Legal exceptions may also apply to goods prepared, prescribed, sealed or ordered specifically for you. This section does not reduce any rights you have under consumer law.
8. Prices & Payment
Current prices are shown on the website or confirmed during the enquiry or consultation process. Where the final service differs from the original enquiry, the price may also differ and will be explained before proceeding.
Available payment methods may include cash, bank transfer or a secure payment link. We will confirm the payment method available for your booking. Payment must be made when requested.
9. Home Visits
Home visits are considered individually and are not automatically available for every client, location or service. Suitability, travel area, privacy, lighting, hygiene, access, pets, other occupants and the ability to work safely may be considered.
You are responsible for providing a safe, clean and suitable environment and accurate access information. We may postpone or decline a home visit if conditions are unsuitable. Any travel or home-visit charge will be explained before confirmation.
10. Treatment Information & Results
Information on this website is general and is not a diagnosis, medical advice or a promise of results. Responses vary between individuals, and no particular outcome, duration or level of improvement is guaranteed.
Possible benefits, limitations, alternatives, risks and aftercare will be discussed where relevant. You are free to decide not to proceed.
11. Your Responsibilities & Aftercare
You agree to follow reasonable preparation and aftercare instructions, attend follow-up when recommended and contact us promptly about an unexpected concern. Please see our Aftercare page.
For urgent or severe symptoms, seek appropriate emergency or medical assistance rather than waiting for a website response.
12. Photographs & Social Media
Clinical photographs may be requested for consultation, treatment records or monitoring where appropriate. Permission to use an identifiable image for marketing or social media is separate and optional. Refusing marketing permission will not affect access to an otherwise suitable service.
You may withdraw permission for future marketing use by contacting us, although we may not be able to retrieve material already lawfully published, printed, shared or copied by others.
13. Privacy & Cookies
Personal information is handled as explained in our Privacy Policy. Information about website cookies and consent choices is available in our Cookie Policy.
14. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us promptly so that we can investigate and respond. Our process is explained in the Complaints Procedure.
15. Website Content & Intellectual Property
Website content is provided for general information and may be updated without notice. Unless otherwise stated, text, branding, layout and original materials may not be copied, republished or commercially used without permission.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, security or availability.
16. Responsibility & Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to those protections, Barker's Aesthetics is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or withheld client information, failure to follow instructions, unauthorised third-party treatment, or events reasonably outside our control.
17. Changes, Law & Contact
We may update these terms when our services, pricing, suppliers, systems or legal obligations change. The version displayed when a booking is made will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in the part of the UK where you live.
For a question about these terms, please use our Contact / Enquire page.
