Frequently Asked Questions

Questions are welcome.

If something is on your mind, ask. These answers explain how Barker's Aesthetics approaches consultations, suitability, home visits, prescribing and aftercare.

FAQ

Useful answers before you decide.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. The appropriate next step depends on the service, your concerns and individual suitability. A consultation also gives you time to ask questions before deciding.

Will I be pressured to have treatment?

No. You can take time to think, ask more questions or decide not to proceed.

Do all treatments need a prescriber?

No. Some treatment pathways may require an independent assessment by an appropriately qualified prescriber; others do not.

Does seeing a prescriber mean I will receive a prescription?

No. A prescription is an independent clinical decision and is never guaranteed.

Why are some medicine names not shown on the website?

Prescription-only medicines cannot be promoted to the public. The website therefore focuses on consultations, concerns and appropriate clinical pathways.

Do you offer Home Visits?

Selected home visits may be available. They are considered individually based on the service, location, suitability, safe working conditions and availability.

Do you work from more than one location?

Barker's Aesthetics may work from different suitable locations depending on the service and availability. We will confirm the setting before the appointment.

Are the rooms shown on the website the exact room I will visit?

Not necessarily. Website imagery reflects the Barker's Aesthetics visual brand environment and is illustrative; the exact setting may vary.

Can you guarantee a result?

No. Results, recovery and duration vary between people and services.

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

Sometimes a same-day service may be possible, but it should never be assumed. Suitability, consent, any required prescribing step and practical factors all come first.

How much does treatment cost?

Current fees are confirmed before booking. Home visits and individual plans may be quoted separately.

What should I bring to a consultation?

Relevant medication information, allergies, medical history, previous treatment information and your questions can all be helpful.

Can I bring someone with me?

Ask when booking. Space, privacy and the type of consultation may affect whether another person can be present.

What if I am nervous?

Tell us. We can slow the conversation down, explain each step and give you time to decide.

What if I change my mind?

You can change your mind before treatment. Any deposit or cancellation terms that apply should be explained before booking.

Where do I find aftercare?

Use the Aftercare page and follow the individual instructions you were given after your appointment.

How do I ask a question without putting my phone number or email everywhere online?

Use the Contact / Enquiry page. We are moving toward a form-first approach so direct contact details do not need to be repeated across every public page.
