Selected appointments in the comfort of home.
Home visits are considered individually. Availability depends on the service, location, suitability, safe working conditions, privacy and clinician availability.
A home visit is not automatically suitable for every appointment.
We consider the whole situation before confirming a home visit. Sometimes a clinic or other suitable location will be the safer or more appropriate choice.
Service suitability
The service itself must be appropriate to provide safely away from the usual treatment setting.
Environment
There must be enough clean, private and suitable space for the appointment and any equipment required.
Location & access
Travel, parking, access, timing and the practical requirements of the visit all form part of the decision.
More flexibility when travelling is difficult or inconvenient.
A home visit can sometimes make an appointment easier to manage, but convenience never overrides suitability or safe practice.
- Mobility or access considerations.
- Privacy or comfort preferences.
- Practical caring or family responsibilities.
- Travel difficulties.
- Other circumstances discussed individually.
From enquiry to confirmed visit.
Enquire
Tell us the general service or concern and the area where the visit would take place. You do not need to send detailed medical information in the general enquiry.
Initial review
We consider whether a home visit may be appropriate and what further information or consultation is needed.
Confirm the plan
If suitable, we confirm the location, appointment requirements, price and any preparation needed.
Appointment & aftercare
The same principles of consent, suitability, privacy and aftercare apply wherever the appointment takes place.
